I am writing this article to warn people especially aspiring engineers who come to Bangalore in search of job, of the fraud software companies operating in Bangalore.
We all know that Bangalore is the IT capital of India with more than 1500 registered software companies operating here. But within this blooming IT Industry some frauds are minting money by operating fraud software companies.
The only motive of these software companies is to make money by back door entries. They have hired a number of consultants who bring candidates to them .These consultants charge a huge sum of money from these candidates to get them placed in these companies. These consultants tells to candidates that its a MNC company, and they will have a great future working here. People who are desperate for the jobs fall in there trap.
But the truth is that these companies are not at all interested in software. This solo motto is to get more and more candidates through back door .These companies generally have a lifetime of 4 months to 8 months. After that, when they have taken a large number of candidates and when the candidates starting resisting then they disappear. Once they disappear candidates are of nowhere, neither they are able to gain knowledge nor experience. I personally know the number of such companies who have disappeared .Some companies used to operate in Jaynagar, BTM Layout, Kormangla. Interestingly all the people managing these companies are interrelated. These people are still operating and also planning to open new companies in Bangalore. Another interesting fact is that most of these companies’ consultants are from Andhra Pradesh and also majority of guys who has fallen in there trap are also from Andhra Pradesh. These companies have become so bold in recent times, that they started conducting walkins. In these walking consultants look for potential guys who can pay money. These companies have conducted walking in Tirupati, Hyderabad, Vizag, Noida, and Bhuvneswar.
Some complaints regarding these companies have been filed in police station. These companies are also in business of making black money to white.
The process goes like this Game 1: Scamsters and fraudsters will register a company name and start a website by using a fake address of foreign countries such as when we check the domain registration details it will show some Australia, Singapore, USA, UK address, by using this they tell candidates that they have branches in foreign countries.
Game 2: Scamsters will post ads on popular job portals like naukri, monsters, that they want to recruit HR managers for their Company and they will hire some 4 – 5 Experienced HR candidates who can carry out the interview process for backdoor jobs.
Game 3: Now they will inform the job consultants and agents who provide placements to students who are located in different cities such as Hyderabad, Nellore, Vijayawada, Mangalore, Bombay, Chennai, These people tell the agents that they have some 150 – 200 openings in Bangalore center and want candidates for immediate joining and offer good salaries something around 15,000 – 20,000/- per month.
Game 4: Now these consultants and agents will do campaigns and post advertisements and lure students and professionals who are looking for a immediate job placement. They even send SMS and emails to students looking for jobs. These agents tell the candidates to pay something around 1.5lakhs to 2.5 lakhs to get placed in fake companies.
Game 5: Consultants and agents will charge 70% of the payment to issue the offer letter and they tell the candidates to pay the remaining 30% at the time of joining the company. In this way they will recruit around 100 – 150 candidates
1 candidate @ 1, 00,000/- X 100 members (approx) = 1 Crore. (Approx)
Game 6: Now the fake companies take a big office space to accommodate 100-200 people and arrange tables and rented systems for the candidates, they even hire professional trainers to train the employees on languages such as JAVA, .NET, ORACLE, DBA,…. they spend something like the below
Office rented space advance =3- 5 Lakhs
Furniture, chairs and Tables = 3-4 Lakhs
Rented systems and laptops = 2-3 Lakhs
They even give salaries for the first 2 months and they credit salary for first 2 months on 30th or 31st to make the candidates believe that they are Genuine Companies and this will fetch them more candidates.
Salaries for 2 months = 10 -15 Lakhs
Total Expenditure = 25 Lakhs (approx)
Game 6: Here comes the climax part, when the scamsters fell that they have collected enough money and if they feel that they will get caught they will choose weekends Saturday and Sunday and declare holidays for 3-4 days and the issue Bank Checks for salary and during the holidays they secretly shift the computers, important data, files and receipts and some companies even sell furniture’s and make their office whitewash and switch off their mobiles and flee from the current city and they divide the money left with them equally between persons who worked for this scam.
Approx they will be left with 75 Lakhs for 100 candidates
When the candidates return to office on Monday they will not find a single concerned person and they realize that they have been cheated. Some people go to police station and file complaints, some do not want to even complaint as they come from good families and this will create problems for their future and some people don’t want to run to police stations and courts. Here are some most familiar scamster names that did this kind of scams frequently in different cities in south India. * We have complete proofs with video and audio recordings and we will hand over them to police for further investigation.
